 The system records all position data at user defined intervals, allowing the user to view the movement of the vehicle. All events are recorded with their corresponding positional data and can be viewed in various formats. 

 Position data can be sampled by a combination of time interval, distance interval, heading change and/or event change. Thus, you will know the exact movements of your vehicles. 

 With a high accuracy of positional data recording, it makes stolen vehicle recovery much easier. 

 GSM and Satellite Communications. You can connect a satellite modem to the main unit giving the user extra coverage in areas where there is no GSM coverage. We support multiple manufactures. 

 Upgrading of firmware is automatically handled by the Wide Spectrum Solutions server, thus ensuring that all of your units have the latest firmware versions. This is a free service and available to all of our clients.

  A report can be generated listing each vehicles CO₂ emission.

   Should someone attempt to tamper with the system, a message will be sent to the server. 

  The system can be configured to automatically disable the vehicle should someone tamper with the system.

  As a fleet manager, you can view historically video of any vehicle in your fleet. This is extremely useful to determine causes of an accident or guilty parties in a theft situation. The video clip can be saved to your local storage.

   A Wide Spectrum Solutions proactive device aiding the driver to improve driving habits. Audible alarms are sounded whenever the driver oversteps certain driving parameters. This includes speeding, harsh braking, harsh acceleration, handbrake off with door open and invalid driving hours. 

   RPM and Green Band. RPM’s are recorded and monitored against green driving profiles.

  Wide Spectrum Solutions logically organizes data into trips. There are multiple options in determining a start of a trip. This includes ignition sense line, vibration sense, change in battery charge, and change in GPS positions. 

    Area management is important to any fleet manager. Various area types can be customized by a user. These include Customer, No-go Areas, Preferred Areas, Waypoints, Depots, Timed Areas, Fixed Speed Areas and Ignition Off Areas. 

   (RF Tag, RF Button, iButton) Wide Spectrum Solutions supports multiple methods of determining driver identification. This includes passive and active RF tag and iButton (Dallas ID key). 

   Trips are classified as a business trip or as a private trip. The user can setup the system to ‘hide’ where the driver drove during a private trip, thus preserving the driver’s right to privacy.

 The CANbus protocol allows the Wide Spectrum Solutions unit to read some vehicle data such as engine RPMs, engine coolant temperature and driver work periods. This data is used to create beneficial management reports.
